Authors - Amit Pathak, Krishna Kant Sharma and Amit Rai Jain.

Additional contributors are Sandeep Rai, Satish Jain and Manoj K. Gautam. Every photograph, old print, lithograph print, coin, postcard etc etc within the book is from our collection only (except one).

It was released on 14th of June, 2016, by Dr. Mahesh Sharma, Minister of Culture and Tourism + Civil Aviation, Govt. of India, at the office of Ministry of Tourism, No.1 Parliament Street, New Delhi.

हम इतिहासप्रेमी मित्रों की मंडली द्वारा अंग्रेजी भाषा में लिखित पुस्तक "पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश का इतिहास एवं संस्कृति" (दो भागों में ) का विमोचन आज दि. 14 जून 2016 को पर्यटन एवं संस्कृति मंत्रालय में स्वयं भारत के संस्कृति एवं पर्यटन मन्त्री ड़ा. महेश शर्मा जी अपने करकमलों से सम्पन्न हुआ ....
ज्ञातव्य है कि पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश एक बहुसांस्कृतिक एवं ऐतिहासिक स्थल होने के बाद भी आज तक यहां की सांस्कृतिक विरासत पर कोई स्तरीय शोध सम्पन्न नहीं हो पाया था, प्रस्तुत पुस्तकों के प्रकाशन से एक बहुत बडे अभाव की पूर्ती होने जा रही है......विमोचन कार्यक्रम की अध्यक्षता झांसी विश्वविधालय के पूर्व कुलपति श्री रमेश चंद्रा जी ने की....श्री देवपाल शास्त्री जी इस अवसर पर विशेष रूप से उपस्थित थे....केन्द्रिय मन्त्री ड़ा. महेश शर्मा जी ने पश्चिमी उत्तर प्रदेश की संस्कृति को विश्व के सामने लाने के लिये लेखको का धन्यवाद किया....

It has 745 pictures (photos, lithographs, manuscripts etc) and 8 maps.
It covers the period between earliest humans and 1915 (a section on archaeogenetics is also added).
The region in focus is a single cultural zone extending through the following districts - 3 of East Delhi, Gautam Budh Nagar (Noida + Greater Noida), Ghaziabad, Meerut, Bulandshahar, Hapur, Baghpat, Shamli, Muzaffarnagar, Bijnor, Saharanpur and plains of Haridwar.
